Best Diet to Lose Weight Fast:  What is the Best Diet?

There are a lot of ways to lose weight fast, but many of them are not healthy.  Don’t sacrifice your health just to lose weight.  You can learn how to lose weight quickly and safely.  The best diet to lose weight fast is a diet that includes safe and nutritional guidelines.

How Long Does It Take To Lose Weight?

If you combine some of these important and basic healthy guidelines, and reduce your calorie intake to lose weight, you’ll start to lose weight immediately.  Many of these you hear all the time, but I’ll try to explain them more to give you a better understanding and motivation to follow them:

1.  Eat natural, healthy foods. This is the hardest things for most of us to do, but it doesn’t have to be difficult.  Start changing your habits one by one, day by day.  Pick one healthier meal a day and go from there, and you’ll be doing it regularly.  Don’t try to change everything at once.  It’s a sure way to fail.

2.  Eat 5-6 small meals a day.  It’s not that hard to do, and eating every 3-4 hours instead of two-three big meals a day helps keep your metabolism (energy) up, and burns fat faster.  It’s easier to keep the weight off this way, and you feel satisfied instead of getting hungry or craving something that’s not healthy.

3.  Don’t eat after 7 or 8 p.m.  Pick a time in the evening when you’re less active, a few hours before bed.  If you eat later in the evening, it’s hard on your digestive system, because it takes longer to process the food because you’re inactive, and it turns into fat!  

4. Eat sweets 1-2 times/week:  This can be hard, especially if you have a sweet tooth like I do.  But, there are good substitutes that satisfy the sweet tooth, provide more nutrition, and won’t give you the ‘highs’ and ‘lows’ of the sugar buzz.  Try not to keep [many] sweets at home, and this will help reduce the temptation.

Besides the health-related issues associated with being overweight, it can cause severe emotional problems like depression and low self esteem.  There are a lot of weight loss tips that work, and the trick is figuring out what will work best for you.

There are so many weight loss programs and products available today, it’s hard to tell what will work, or what’s healthy.  I’m going to review some of the simple, basic and healthy weight loss tips that work fast, including the best diet to lose weight fast.

Best Diet to Lose Weight Fast

Everyone wants a "quick fix" like all the weight loss pills and drinks available today that promise fast weight loss, but can also be dangerous and unhealthy.  Below are some real, proven simple ways to lose weight fast; BUT, as you know, losing weight has to involve Discipline and Determination if you’re going to succeed.  Here are some simple things you can do that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, and are the healthiest ways to lose weight:

Reduce / Moderate:

  • Sugars, especially processed sugar (sucrose-white sugar).  Besides adding unhealthy weight, it robs your system of nutrients, which causes "cravings" and "binges".  It kills good bacteria and suppresses your immune system.  It’s "toxic" to your system, depletes your potassium and magnesium, and is responsible for many diseases and degenerative conditions.  It’s in more foods than you realize, and soda is the Worst.  Look for sugars, fructose, lactose, syrups, malto-dextrin and many other forms of it in the “ingredients”.

  • Processed foods are loaded with additives, preservatives, coloring, sugar, salt, starch, unhealthy fats and oils, and "natural and artificial flavors", most of which are chemicals.  The healthy nutrients to protect your heart, like soluble fiber, antioxidants, and "good" fat are removed.  Corn syrup and "partially hydrogenated oils" are BAD.  There are a lot of "mystery ingredients" in processed foods that you can’t even pronounce, and can damage your body.  If you don’t know what it is, you probably shouldn’t eat it!
  • "Junk" foods.  We all know this, but just being more conscientious about what you’re eating or drinking will help a lot.  Again, look at the ingredients.
  • Starches (i.e., complex carbohydrates, modified starch-BAD) are in so many foods; again, read the labels.  Prepared/processed foods have a ton including pasta, bread, pancakes, cereals, and rice.  Good natural foods with starch include seeds, fruits, roots, corn, potatoes, wheat, and rice.

I’m not saying you should cut all of these things out of your diet, but just remind you to Be Aware of What You’re Ingesting.  If you kept track of everything you drink and eat, you’d be surprised how much weight you could lose by cutting here and there, not to mention how much better you’ll feel, and the healthier you’ll be!
