To be fair and honest and accurate, we must agree that there are substantial differences between men and women. Taking it a step further, we can agree these differences transcend into strength training workouts. The problem, or where we may begin to disagree, is that the differences when it comes to working out aren’t as great as women believe. This is one reason, if not the only reason, women keep working out without seeing results.
It isn’t our fault; as women we are marketed to, sold programs, products, equipment, videos and personal training sessions – all geared for women. Strength training workouts that work, take into account gender differences, but apply the same principals that work. These people aren’t as famous as big gyms and weight loss programs, because when people use their program, they see results and these results stay, so repeat and ongoing money isn’t involved. Shin Ohtake is the trainer whose program I believe best fits women’s physical needs and I hope you find one you rely on too. No matter who you go with, or what program you use, you must ensure you’re using one based on science and not marketing tactics or false promises. Good luck.
